Grand Vin du Château Bouqueyran

The Lords of Bouqueyran first planted vines and constructed this charming estate halfway between Margaux and Saint-Julien in the 14th and 15th centuries. In 1862, the property was sold to Raymond Robin, owner of Château Citran Cru Bourgeois, who expanded upon the castle, adding two pavilion towers and a workers' house which still exists next to the château.

Château Bouqueyran Moulis 2015
57% Merlot 43% Cabernet Sauvignon
$46.99 per bottle

The lords of Bouqueyran have long disappeared but the nobility of its vineyard still remains. This Cru Bourgeois Supérieur is complex, powerful and rich with the potential to age for a good ten years or more. The bouquet is full of plum, violet and cedar with soft, elegant use of oak. The palate is big and easy with tons of plum. Pair with herbed rack of lamb and roasted potatoes.
